Urgent Same Day Appointments

For urgent same day appointments please call the surgery on 02380 555776 from 8am

We have book-on-the-day appointments available for urgent problems with our nurse practitioners and our GPs and appointments are given in time order. Our nurse practitioners are highly skilled and experienced nurses who are able to assess, prescribe and refer for many health problems, and can involve the GP if required.

Your usual GP may not be available and you will need to be prepared to see another GP or nurse practitioner.

Home Visits

Home visits can be requested by calling the surgery on 02380 555776

If you require a same-day home visit please contact the surgery by 10:30am to enable the GPs to plan and prioritise their workload.

Please note that home visits are only for patients who are genuinely housebound and are unable to get to the surgery for medical reasons.

You may be telephoned by the GP first to assess your request.

Help Us Run To Time!

Our GP and nurse practitioner appointments are 10 minutes long.

Please ensure you arrive in good time and check in using the automatic console.

To help us run to time, please do not save up several problems to discuss in one appointment. In general one problem can be dealt with in each 10 minute appointment. You may be asked to rebook to discuss additional problems. Alternatively it may be preferable to request a double slot when booking a routine appointment.

Sometimes, due to medical emergencies, delays are unavoidable.

Thank you in advance for your understanding in such circumstances. We will endeavour to keep you informed of delays as and when they happen.

Change or Cancel an Appointment

Please cancel unwanted appointments

You may be shocked to learn that in 2024 of the 48,411 appointments booked 1964 were wasted due to patients not turning up. That is 1 in 25 appointments, or 506 hours of GP and nurse time!

Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.
